The Huawei Matebook 16 was unveiled with the Raizen 5800H processor

The recently unveiled Huawei Matebook 16 strikes a good balance between power and style. This 16-inch laptop uses the Raizen H series processor and despite its metal body, it will weigh less than 2 kg.

This laptop will be available in two different versions. The regular version of this laptop uses the AMD Raizen 5 5600H processor, and the more advanced version is equipped with the Raizen 7 5800H processor. Both processors are 7nm and are based on the ZEN 3 architecture with a thermal design power of 45 watts. Both laptops also support 54-watt operation mode, which is activated by combining the Fn + P keys.

The dual cooling fan of this laptop keeps its temperature low even in operating mode. Two 2-nanometer tubes are responsible for transferring heat to the heatsink, and two 75-mm fans transfer heat to the outside. There is no external graphics chip in this laptop, but the Vega chip used in it is powerful enough to perform non-gaming tasks. Both versions of the laptop use 16 GB of RAM and internal SSD memory.

The 16-inch screen of this laptop supports a resolution of 1680 x 2520 pixels and its aspect ratio is 3: 2. Support for HDR technology, 100% sRGB color space coverage and 1500: 1 contrast ratio are other features of this screen. However, the brightness of the display is 300 nits, and this is its only drawback. The laptop's stereo speakers are also located next to the keyboard, and its fingerprint sensor is located inside the power button.

The Huawei Matebook 16 is equipped with two USB-C ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This laptop does not use Ethernet input and memory card slot and instead supports WiFi 6 technology. The laptop is charged via a USB-C port and a 135-watt adapter. You can charge Huawei smartphones through this laptop.

This laptop uses an 84 watt / hour battery that can play full HD videos for 12 hours. The laptop's temperature sensor also protects the battery and stops the charging process if it overheats. Huawei uses Windows 10 operating system in this laptop and has installed its own software on it by default.

The pre-sale of Huawei Matebook 16 laptop has started in China. The base version of the laptop will cost 6,300 yuan ($ 980 / € 800) and the more powerful version will cost 500 yuan more.
