The Asus Zenbook 13 economy laptop was introduced with a base price of $ 800
Asus has introduced a new OLED laptop. The Asus Zenbook 13 is an economical laptop and costs only $ 800.
The Asus Zanbuk 13 uses an old 13-inch display with 1080p resolution and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. This laptop can be configured with powerful Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 chips with 8 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
But you get the base model for $ 800 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor or an 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 chip, a backlit keyboard, a Windows Peach IR camera, full-size HDMI 2.0 and USB-A ports. You will have access to a pair of USB-C ports and a microSD card slot.
According to the specifications sheet of this laptop, there are some important differences between Intel and AMD models, which are as follows:
- The Intel model starts at 256 GB, while the base AMD model has 512 GB of internal memory.
- The AMD model has three hours more battery life than the Intel model, while both have the same 67-watt-hour batteries and similar displays with a maximum brightness of 150 nits.
- The Intel model uses a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of the simple USB 3.2 Type-C ports.
- The AMD model supports Wi-Fi 5, while the Intel model supports Wi-Fi 6.
Retailers such as Amazon and Newegg have been quietly selling the laptops since earlier this month, although it looks like the $ 800 AMD version has not been released yet.
Also, if you are looking for a convertible 2-in-1 laptop, Asus has introduced models with old displays and a base price of $ 950, which can be suitable for people on a budget. Of course, these models use only Intel processors.
